I've provided services for Alcantara Contractor for close to 5 years now. We've collaborated in numerous projects, all very successful where the homeowner was left happy and satisfied with the outcome. Carlos runs an amazing and experienced team. Would not recommend any other construction company in the Boston area!

We hired carlos and his team to gut and rebuild our first floor two bedroom apartment in our two family home after a small fire in their unit. After multiple estimates and feedback we went with them. He was fair and honest with estimate and many companies do not like to work with insurance. Carlos was responsive with us and the private adjuster we hired to help navigate the process. Their was some hiccups, which always is when dealing l with insurance companies and carlos was good about helping communicate with them and helping to get them to keep the project on track and not too long delayed. As they begin construction and work we decided to have his team also do our second floor unit central heat/air convert from oil to gas. gut our kitchen, finish a upstairs staircase that was unfinished and build out a new small bathroom on our 3rd floor. all the workers who we worked with during the year process were friendly and professional. And when we had to reach out to carlos for any follow ups after completion he had been very helpful and responsive to come out and help.

Carlos, the owner, brought many suggestions to the table and spent the time trying to work within a budget at the same time bringing in the much needed updates. He discouraged some items that would have just made him money and was honest about costs. The workmanship in respecting the elements of an old home showed in repairing and restoring glass doorknobs to their prior elegance while still bringing modern touches to our home has been an amazing transformation. Small detail items didn't go unnoticed such as to where to center the bathroom vanity which makes a difference for the size constraints in our small bathroom. He's responsive on calls and was willing to work with us when we changed our mind or added extra work. The carpentry and painting skills of his crew are incredible. I'll never paint again now that I've seen what a quality paint job looks like.

We contracted Alcantara to build a new deck for us as well as a bunch of related but auxiliary work. We found their quote to be fairly priced (we had a wide range of estimates, theirs was middle of the road) but were more so won over by Marcelino and his genuine personality, attitude and understanding of the project. It was clear he saw the vision and could see it through. While the project took longer than we had anticipated, we are really happy with the end result and Marcelino made sure to address every last detail… and even some things that weren't part of the original project. Everything came in on budget and any additional costs (premium materials, etc) were explained clearly and upfront and did not appear to be marked up. The workers that came by were all very nice, hard-working and seemed to really enjoy the work which makes for a better end product all around. I would definitely recommend Alcantara and will likely continue to work with them in the future.

Carlos and his team along with his subs did an amazing job in my North Andover home. They converted an extra living room into a bedroom, bathroom, and office with laundry. The project took 3 months to complete, and they worked very hard and diligently. Maciel, Alex, Josimar and others (electricians, painters, tile installer, even office folks) were extremely personable and patient with me and it really made my first renovation an enjoyable experience. Carlos and his team also helped me promptly with other issues I had in my home, all of which were executed extremely well: – a leak in the basement (plumbing and replacing sheetrock with drop ceiling tiles). – removing subfloor, retiling and replacing toilet and vanity in second floor bathroom – Resizing kitchen cabinets to allow up to code installation of new stove I will continue to use Alcantara as my go to contractor and I highly recommend him to others. PS they are extremely busy, so being flexible goes a long way.

Prompt work, fair pricing, promises and schedule kept with no surprises. We had to replace a water damaged floor and they had great customer service. They delivered exactly what we asked for. Highly recommend for an in-and-out job.

Great experience working with Marcelino and his teams. They were easy to work with and you could tell they genuinely wanted the work (kitchen and bathroom + new floors & some painting) to come out looking great.

The Alcantara crew was on site at my house every day adding a mudroom and completely gutting and rebuilding my kitchen and both bathrooms. Their finish carpentry is stunning. Their tile work is beautiful. I couldn’t be happier with the end result.

I would like to thank ALCANTARA construction workers for their professional skill and dedicated services. Great team work. The sliding bath tube doors make perfect that there is no longer having water spreading to the floor due to shower or bath. The floating sink makes more space under the sink. The final painting and finishing are excellent. Overall, it looks much nicer in the bathroom than before.

We have worked with Carlos, Marciel and the Alcantara team for the past 2 years. We started with a full kitchen renovation and are now on to two of our bathrooms. They are professional, kind, considerate and polite. They are on time and conscientious. Carlos has good ideas and is very willing to think through projects with you and your designer to give ideas that he has seen work in the past. In fact, two major things we did in our kitchen were his idea and we are very happy with them. They are trustworthy and diligent and the quality of their work is really great. We are so happy with our kitchen and will be soon with our bathrooms I'm sure. I would highly recommend Carlos and team!

The Alcantara team was very professional and did a great job repairing our ceiling and walls in our living room and sunroom. They added our original crown molding back on and painted our door, walls and ceiling. Everything was done within a few days as estimated. The team also made sure to block off the rest of our rooms so the dust was contained. Our project manager was Ricardo and he kept us updated throughout the project. I appreciated his responsiveness and great attitude. I would not hesitate to have this team work on additional projects at my house.

Alcantara contractors installed two new railings on our staircase. We really like the new railings. I can't believe we waited that long to get new ones installed. I would recommend Alcantara for all home improvements. Excellent work!

We had three estimates. Carlos Alcantara came in at a competitive estimate, yes, but more than that he came across as honest, direct and interested in making our renovation what we wanted, not pressuring us to do things in a certain way. At every point that there was a fork in the road, he presented us with our options and gave us honest appraisals for cost adjustments, time and when asked, his own opinion. Moreover, he stuck to the estimate and our total was what we expected it to be. We had some new problems along the way that our inspection didn't identify (roof leak into our daughter's bedroom for example) and he was able to get it fixed and for a reasonable price, without hesitation. What we liked most about working with Carlos, was his personality. He is a good person, and that comes across when working with him. He knows his subcontractors well and he never hid things from us or tried to upcharge us. He even worked with our design person, who we had hired prior, and did so with utmost professionalism. After our renovation, we recommended him to our family because of the work he did – and he has now done work for two of my family members on their homes – all of which have come out really well. Lastly, i will say it has been well over a year since our project completed, but when i reach out to him with questions or concerns, he still responds right away. I will definitely use him and his company for future projects, and I highly recommend him.

We used Alcantara Contracting to do major renovations on our home including gut reno of the kitchen and master bathroom and laundry room. Carlos is a true pleasure to work with! He is a genuinely kind and caring person which gave me confidence through the entire process that everything would get done and done well. He was very easy to communicate with. Whenever there was an issue or concern he would be there in person to help fix or address the issue. We've had some minor follow up issues that he we've called him back for a year later and he's just as responsive to address the problems. We'd highly recommend Carlos and Alcantara Contracting!

I would highly recommend Carlos and Alcantara team. Very professional and responsive, we are very happy with the results. They completed a very big renovation project on our old house (if you have an old house you'll know what I mean!!). that included almost every aspect of construction and they did a great job on all. We got a lot of complements on the work done. Carlos took care of all permits and went smooth with the city. When asked, Carlos gave us very good suggestions and he has a very good eye for making small changes that made a big positive difference at the end… We'll definitely use him and Alcantara again and again..
